Oser outdoor sustainability goals

1. clean design for everyday wear (100% clothing rack use)

Unfortunately, we can’t say (yet) that our products leave no ecological footprint. Even though we try to reduce the ecological footprint of our products as much as possible, still the necessary resources are needed to manufacture and ship our products. Because we can’t avoid this we make sure this ecological footprint will be utilized to its full extend.

As a brand focussed on the outdoor industry it might give you the idea that you should use our products only during long hikes, your holiday in the mountains, or a canoe trip on a lake. However, we feel this undermines the real value of the products. We think because our products can be worn every day and they should not be hanging in the closet for the larger part of the year. Therefore, we made these products from high-quality materials so you can comfortably wear them every day.

Besides that, we try to create a stylish and clean design that matches your everyday outfit. This means that you can show your love for outdoor sports to the outer world, without feeling like your outfit doesn’t match your everyday activities.

2. Nature first, profit second (Reduce the ecological footprint)

We constantly strive to reduce our ecological footprint. We do this by reevaluating our production processes and transportation methods regularly. Nature first, profit second!

During our sourcing process we constantly had in mind that we want to place nature at the first place and profit at the second place. This resulted in choosing products that are expensive, but with a much lower ecological footprint than their comparable, cheaper, alternatives. Since we want to keep the costs of our gear as low as possible for you, to make our brand available for everyone, we chose to cut on our own profit.

A good example is our latest design, our limited edition “Explore the Mountains” tee. In the end, taking sourcing, production and shipping in account we only make a profit of less than €2,-. However, we do feel this is what we are obliged to do as an outdoor brand

3. Strong enough for tough hikes (built to last)

As an outdoor company we know that nothing feels better than being in nature. However, being in the outdoors can be challenging for your gear. You might stroll through bushes, wear a heavy backpack for a whole day, or walk for hours and hours on challenging terrains. Even though we want to deny this, it does have impact on our gear.

Therefore, we made sure that our gear is made from strong materials. Materials that are built to last. Our t-shirt are made from heavy cotton so they won’t rip apart hitting the first branch, or catch fire during a long night at a campfire. Besides that they can withstand most heavy outdoor activities, the heavy cotton also allows you to wear your product everyday without it being degrade in a short time. And let that be one of our goals, use your outdoor products as much as possible.
